Who can claim a uniform tax rebate?

To make a claim with us, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have to wear a branded uniform as part of your job like a nurse, firefighter, or a shop worker; in some cases a uniform with a detachable name badge may be allowed.
  • Pay for the laundry costs of caring for your uniform yourself.
  • Not receive reimbursement for these costs, or be provided with laundering facilities at work (even if you don’t use them).
  • Be a taxpayer in the year you make your claim.
  • You do not complete a self-assessment

FAQs

How long will my claim take?

It takes a couple of minutes to enter your claim. Once it’s been submitted to us it depends on how busy HMRC are, usually it takes them between 4 and 12 weeks to respond to a tax rebate claim.

How far back can I claim?

You can backdate your claim to the last previous 4 tax years, you can also claim for completed part of the current tax year. We will get the previous years refunded as a single payment. The rest will be paid in your wages, as will any future tax relief.

Are you a government agency or affiliated with HMRC?

No. HMRC does not endorse or affiliate itself with ANY private company.We are a private company, which is registered as an agent and MLR (money laundering regulation) supervision with HMRC, that specialises in PAYE & Marriage Allowance tax refund claims.

Can I claim directly with HMRC?

Yes, you can can claim directly with HMRC, although it can be time consuming. We will also provide advice on any other Tax Rebates you can claim.

Do I need to claim each year?

Not usually. When you submit a claim with us, we will not only claim a refund for prior years, but we’ll also apply to change your tax code to ensure that you receive the relevant tax reliefs directly in your pay. You will receive notification of your new tax code from HMRC.
